Nikon Tour '25

One of my favorite things about this shoot was that I could take the exact same studio environment and approach it in three completely different ways: clean and commercial, dark and monotone, and finally experimental and abstract. As for the editing, I kept each set fairly straightforward and edited the photographs according to what I wanted each one to feel like. The clean portraits stayed clean, the monotone set leaned into the dramatic black-and-white look, and the shutter-drag images were edited to emphasize the movement and abstraction rather than trying to make them look more conventional. Overall, I really enjoyed the Nikon Tour experience. I got to try a completely different camera system, learn something new, experiment with a technique I had only recently discovered, and make three very different kinds of photographs in the same shoot. And honestly, it left me thinking that maybe one day I really will own a camera from every major camera company. If I have the money for it, of course.
