Halloween '25

This was my first shoot with the Film Photography Club (FPC), and it happened around Halloween. If you remember the Eclectic Art shoot I did with TFC, that was around the same time, so I was still pretty new to the whole photography thing. But this shoot felt very different. Instead of being focused on a specific, directed vision, it was much more experimental and hobby-focused, which gave me a lot more freedom to play around.
FPC rented out a studio in Phoenix called Wilson Camera for the event. There were multiple sets, models, and a lot of photographers, and since it was a club event, there were quite a few people there. Most of the photographers were film photographers, but I still only had my Sony A3000, so I brought that along and made the most of it.
Shutter
The first studio location — a shutter gate in the background under green lighting. This is where the slow-exposure experimentation happened, spinning the camera or zooming the lens to turn the frame into motion and blur.

Behind the Screen

For me, this shoot wasn't just about the photographs. It was the beginning of finding a community where I could experiment, learn, and keep getting better at photography.
